what are you going to be for halloween?

nothing?

the other day a co-worker asked me what i was going to be for halloween. i told her i thought this might be the year i grow up + out of halloween dress up.

when i said "nothing", a crowd of "whaaaaat?'s" and "noooooo's!" and "you haaaaave to's!" from around the room. 

but here's the thing: i feel sooooooooooo silly driving to work on halloween morning. 

heading down the way, in a bump it... but secretly, i want to run back home and take it all off. 

aaaaand

as clever as my ideas ever are.... i'm always let down when i hear about all the other people who have the same exact clever idea.

maybe in all my almost 30 wisdom, i'm over it? ha!

if i was at all inclined to dress up, i'd be a sugar skull....

i need a boost of inspiration.
