looks like things are either real serious around here or ugly-face funny.
either way, lose/lose.
i mean, what does a happy face look like? someone tell me.
jen + i are dead serious in too many of these pictures.
we're deep in thought, concentrating too hard, totally confused....
... or we're not taking any of it very serious.
no middle-of-the-road here.
like we're soaking in instruction over this whole mothering situation.
i'm taking mental note. just for safety's sake.
it's as if this is serious business...
jen was reading the novel that was the card, i was probably writing down something like, "fuzzy bunny overalls with pink waffle top"
or something like that.
this is the face that says "why do i need gripe water when i can use whiskey instead?"
and i think there were people who thought she was serious.
aren't you supposed to "try on" the new tiny baby clothes over the not-so-tiny baby belly?
we didn't think so, but so many people did.
so we played along. pretending it wasn't awkward the whole time.
mom. holly found my ONE grey hair. i have ONE.
a play on the "beauty queen behind bars" gig. or, in other words, role playing a scene from jen's life.
happy.
serious.
someone please tell me how to look normal in these innocent bystander shots.
until then, i'll keep killing you with my eyes.
