girl babies.

it's been brought to my attention *thankyoumother* that no where in the previous years' lists of posts did i mention the famous girl babies post.

girl babies has got to be the most referenced, quoted, and impactful post i ever wrote. 

and to think.... i so innocently wrote that within the first few days of my blogging career... back before bestie jen was "bestie jen"... when she was just "my friend jen" - the kind of friend you mention in passing, not expecting anyone to know who she is.

boy, i seriously underestimated the importance of that post. i had no idea how deeply that phrase - girl baby - it would really affect my, our, lives.

so, impactful, dear rebecca, it was the inspiration for the invite to jen's baby shower. 

that little girl has not one single time since the awareness of her existence been referred to as a "baby girl" by either jen or myself.  she is "girl baby" and always will be.

ohhhhhh, and in case anyone's curious..... anyone out there who might be in the market for a baby shower gift for this girl baby..... FOR THE RECORD: 

baby gap and old navy are both acceptable retail establishments for children's clothing.

as long as they're not pink or hello kitty.

and if anyone's curious, or all out afraid even, of making a wardrobe decision for this presh girl baby, ask me! 

but seriously, don't be afraid.
