i'm celebrating the first day of summer a few day late this year by doing something i've never done before.
for the first time in the history of our friendship, bestie jen and i are going on a road trip!

hard to believe that in all the years we've known each other we've never road tripped.
we're flying folk. but every once in a while - like, before you sell the bug to upsize to a "family car" - thelma and louise need to ride the open road with the top down, headed for warmer weather.
... and britney spears.
... an over-priced fancy hotel room on the strip.
... and $4.99 ham steaks at the virgin river casino in mesquite.
... and all our favorite road trip treats. emphasis on the ice cold diet coke.

will we run out of things to say by scipio?
will we stop 432734 times to use the restroom?
will there be maternity parking?
will we melt from the 100+ temps?
will we laugh harder than we ever have before?
will baby be bouncing to the beat of the femme fatale?
this is going to be a really great summer.
