when i grow up...

i want to be an art teacher. 

i love art.  and i love learning about art.  

i am in no way, qualified to be an art teacher.  but i love it.  and i love teaching it.  

i have art club today after school and i get so excited to teach the students about different artists and types of art and techniques.  it's SO MUCH FUN!

you know, i hated art in elementary school.  my teacher once sat me down and told me to stop being so hard on myself and then i might enjoy art a bit better.  i learned to like it in high school and then love it in university.  and i'm not an artist.  but i'm passionate about art.  i think that art encompasses so many ways for kids to succeed and excel and that so often they aren't given the opportunity otherwise.  

art.  is awesome.  

off to teach and learn about rene magritte.  surrealism.
