We went to a wedding tonite and I finally got the chance to wear my new spiderweb dress (although it's been hanging in my closet since the winter!) At first I envisioned wearing this dress with the John Fluevog Munster heels.
Aren't they just breathtaking..?? *sigh* .... First of all in order for me to wear these I should probably buy them. I tried convincing Jarred that I needed a $349 dollar pair of shoes. He disagreed. haha. I'm still working on it though. ;)
I love everything about them, even the name: Munster. The John Fluevog website has the perfect description of them... It says:
For his 40th Anniversary John is re-issuing his favourite and favorite styles from each decade, and for the 90s he brings you the hugely sought after Munsters. Made famous first by Lady Miss Kier who wore the iconic platforms on the cover of Deee-lite's debut album World Clique, then by Madonna who wore the sexy 4" Louis IV heel in Truth or Dare, the Munsters have long become the symbol of the '90s House/Club underground DJ scene. Reintroduced with soft suedes, stamped embossed glossy leathers, tunite soles and brested heels, and including the silver 40th Anniversary buckle, the Munsters are an exact re-issue of the original groovy classic. A limited edition produced in small numbers, make sure you grab the Munsters while you can! "Groove is in the Heart."
Man, it's really too bad they cost so much. Although I can justify spending a lot of money on shoes if the quality is there. I love John Fluevogs but they're for sure the type of shoes you have to save up for. But in the end they're worth it because of high end quality, well made shoe, and cute and original styles. Plus they're super comfy. I own two pairs of John Fluevog's (so far!!). My tall lace up boots:
Strange, I don't have any decent photos of these boots... I had to crop my gf Katie out of this shot cause she said she looked like a drunken troll, hahahaa... ALSO, let me just say, here I'm wearing my brand new H&M jean jacket and after this night it's never been seen again. I seriously have no idea if it came home with me or what. How sad!! I never lose stuff. I'm way too anal for that type of shit!
And my cute mary janes. Here I'm doing the grunge look. haha, actually, I was at a 90's party, although majority of the people came in 80's costumes...(???) You know, that whole 80's 'Madonna' look. I kind of was going for more the Courtney Love / Shirley Manson thing myself. Anyways, back to these shoes, did you know I actually paid 200 bucks for these..?!! Seems so insane. But I still have these and they still look good. So I guess that's a good thing. Not like my Walmart boots that I bought for $30 and that fell apart after ONE winter.
On a side note here, I leave tomorrow for my holidays. For the Anniversary Trip. Every year me and Jarred go somewhere for our anniversary, either a big trip (which means getting on a plane to go somewhere), or something smaller, like when we went to beautiful Jasper last year. I think it all started out this way because we went away for our wedding, did the whole Vegas chapel thingy. And in ode of the upcoming anniversary (this Tuesday!!), I'm going to end this note with one of my all-time favorite photos of me and Jarred, xoxoxo.
Mazatlan, Mexico 2006.
See you next week!! :)
