this weekend proved to me that i can take everything that's thrown at me... all at the same time. or rather, when it's all thrown at you at the same time, you have no choice but to catch it and juggle it.
so much for my goal to just say no...
this weekend, i managed to:
prepare the house for house guests
bake and decorate an R2D2 cake
entertain out-of-town guests
enjoy all four hours of the royal wedding with my bestie
buy new living room furniture
pick my mom up at the airport
spring clean the house and deliver my giveaway goods to the thrift store
write a proposal
advertise and coordinate a field trip to a newly discovered ancient burial site in st. george {thankyoubeth}
package 90 wedding favors
roadtrip 3.5 hours north for sophie's baby blessing
prepare sunday dinner for 10 adults
TALK TO ROBIN ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR
{don't know what i did to deserve that great honor}
................. all the while, my car sat dead in the driveway. i felt like i was a prisoner in my own house.
you know those times you stare ahead at your life and don't know how/if you'll make it to the other side of the week?
here i lay... horizontal in my bed, at last! {feels like it's been 358951 hours since the last time i had that luxury}... with one more day to go, but looking back at the last few days with complete exhaustion.
i'm fully recharged after a snuggle session with sophie and a clean hotel room.
{sometimes a hotel stay solves all of life's problems}
the car's recharged, too....... after a $100 session with the auto parts store.
