my google reader was bursting with clever ideas + pretty pictures today. i couldn't wait to finish up my work day and get my hands on this stuff.

danni of oh, hello friend started a fun collection trading project.

it's kind of like a gift exchange, except better. you don't end up with something re-gift-able in the end.

it goes like this:

you tell her her about your own little quirky collections

she matches you up with another collector

and they buy you something on your list.

i happen to collect:

cupcake liners

vintage patterns

pretty plates

kitchen timers

buttons

ribbon/gift wrap

and there's some stranger out there who's equally as charmed by these things who will search high and low in sweet shops in their home town and find me something i love.
