friday night brought me to jamie's house for a little home decorating session.
while dressing the nightstands with her new steal of a deal lamps, brooke thought it was a little strange that jamie slept on the far side of the room, away from the bathroom and access to the kid's bedrooms.
i thought it was totally normal.... seeing as how the man is supposed to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door, to stand guard from creeps and strangers who might invade in the night. is that a rule or did i, in all these years of not sharing my sleep space, make that up?
thinking about my sleeping arrangements...
i said, "i sleep on the other side, too... and i don't even have to share my bed."
brooke said, "so what you're saying is.... you're bed is move-in ready?"
yeah, that's exactly what i'm saying.
move-in ready, just like my house.
the kitchen is stocked with small appliances, measuring cups and spoons, flatware for 8, and dish towels for life.
every room in the house is fully furnished {except the future nursery. buying a crib at this point is a little premature.}
the utility bills already come out of my bank account on a direct withdrawal program and i've learned to manage my own lawn care.
the left half of the bed is waiting to be filled.
i'll even clear out a drawer in the bathroom.
anyway.
becca, you are the anthro winner!
email me with your mailing address... we'll hoop and hollar and celebrate together!
she's a cute one.... i really feel like the gift card is in good hands.
becca, you should buy this. i did. it's to die for.
seriously, friends - new and old - thanks for playing along. i've always wanted to know who was reading.... turns out, it only costs $30 to find out.
