i'm back.
of course, nothing i'm going to say right here really matters because there's a tsunami out there, breaking small countries apart. i'm aching over it.
but i'm back... not quite 100% just yet. i think another week outside in 73 degree temps is in order.
more sun. more flip flops. more diet coke. and more grass between my painted toes.
more sun. more flip flops. more diet coke. and more grass between my painted toes.
my week away wasn't all outside grass and sun time. it was actually full of meetings talking about a road that doesn't exist.
do you know how HARD it is to plan, coordinate, design, and budget a road that doesn't exist?
it's HARD, people.
first things first: i fell off a chair.
I FELL OFF A CHAIR.
in front of 100 of my clients and colleagues.
i don't do things like that.
i work really hard to maintain my dignity and propriety.
in a skirt
standing on a chair
grasping for air
and i broke through the curtain wall of our booth.... like a marathon runner crossing the finish line.
in a skirt.
in front of clients.
and i bled.
and ripped a hole through my favorite stockings.
boo.
I FELL OFF A CHAIR!
are we laughing at the mental image yet?
and so.... to remedy the situation... we went outside.
you'd think this is a snapshot of three golfers watching the ball land into the sunset, but what you don't see is the conversation where client darin is explaining the story behind taylor swift's "love story" lyrics.
darin calls our group "the association" and i'm honored to be a part of it.
the dues are easy: must be willing to share ringtones via bluetooth. and be awesome. and tolerate dorky dad + engineer humor. and know how to fake it on the golf course.
it was a welcomed break.
brooke did a perfect job keeping the posting alive.
as i climb back onto the blogging train and among the land of the living...
i'll post about:
the end of bestie jen's play: a proper celebration.
how to fill and deliver a cardboard box with helium balloons to your besties house all by yourself during a freak snow storm.
more of my favorites from pinterest.
reasons why i'd make a good spouse.
the end of The Project is in sight - just THREE days away!
my thoughts on friendship.
