homemade.


cousin jenny sent over a recipe for nutella ice cream.

it is THE most indulgent thing.

2 cups heavy cream
1 can {14 oz.} sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup nutella
1 cup peanut butter chips

bowl one: whip cream to stiff peaks
bowl two: whisk sweetened condensed, butter, and nutella.  stir in peanut butter chips.
fold whipped cream into bowl two. 
cover, freeze for six hours.

here's where the bennion comes in: 
peanut butter chips seemed too ordinary.
caramel chips would have been better.  but frozen?  kill me now... then send me to the dentist.
for lack of more time, i defaulted to the peanut butter.
but imagine the possibilities! 
fresh banana maybe?
toffee chips?

when i called jenny to report a successful day in the kitchen, she told me she made it withOUT the nutella for a fruity peach dessert.  throw in some vanilla bean, cinnamon, and some chili pepper.
her words "that was the best thing i've ever eaten.  seriously."

so there you have it.
