i was made this way.

remember the "25 random things" phenomenon that hit facebook a couple years ago?

my number 8 read:

if i'm not speaking, it's because i'm biting my tongue... something sassy is anxious to come out.

i can't help it.
i was born with an extra observant gene.

like the time my co-worker and his family showed up to the company picnic in long sleeves - 100 degree weather 'n all - and the girls were complete with waist long braids in their hair... and everyone scoffed at me for secretly suggesting that he might be a polygamist. it explained all the other oddities, but still - people scoffed. until they started thinking about it....

then, when all the pieces fit together, it made sense.
and they had me to thank.

or this morning - when taking the shuttle bus from the parking lot into the airport. why did that girl feel the need to wear matching juicy couture lounge pants and fuzzy purse? and what in the WORLD was she thinking when she bought the complete jessica simpson luggage set? and, in preparation for whatever really exciting vacation she was taking, when she got her nails done and chose blue sparkley french tips... did she even consider what all of these things would look like together?

little did she know, there was an observant sass-pot sitting two seats down who couldn't help but "omg-,-you'll-never-believe-what-i'm-looking-at" to all of her friends.

and don't even get me started on the cowboy i spied discussing business with the asian at the fro yo cafe today in st. george... all the while the real live polygamist was getting crazy in the back with a case of taste-test-'em-all-then-walk-away-as-if-none-of-them-tasted-good.

it was a spectacle.
