hate on me.

i'm not here to make a case for myself.
{i'm thinking stephanie or emily, most recently...}

just a general rule.

why be a blog hater?

i'm always disappointed when i read about hate mail.
i meeeeean... how do you hate on stephanie nielson?
who's the grinch out there with a heart three sizes too small?

blogs are happy, personal spaces.
places we grow more and more comfortable with as time goes on
thus becoming the place we share the more intimate thoughts, experiences, stories of our lives with our audience.
while public venues, yes, they're not places to incite hate or controversy.
we're all free to speak how we may,
but we should all remember to be on our very best behavior
just as we should be in real, face-to-face life.
as if our grandmothers were listening, perhaps?
email, comments, etc. aren't adequate masks for ugliness.

and, of course, the golden rule applies, even in the virtual world.

do as to others as you would have them do unto you.

along with the rest, i've come across blogs who's owners make me crazy.
for lack of a better phrase, blogs that i "love to hate"
and while i may roll my eyes as i read,
out of respect for the sisterhood of the blogging universe,
i click on.
