meet holly.
holly and i met long before either of us could remember. my mom could probably tell you when... but i'm going to guess it was sometime 1986-1987ish when our moms were pregnant with each of our youngest siblings {brett and mindy}.
the real magic began in 1996, though, when we were sophomores in high school and were assigned to the same humanities class. within days of "re-connecting" we bff'd it to the tune of a history assignment - reinacting a greek mythology story in her backyard with a video camera and togas made of bed sheets.
we were inseperable from that day on.
come senior year, we ditched once a week {and still managed to graduate with honors} with the help of pre-signed notecards from our mothers.
holly was the reason i landed in rexburg for school. i didn't know where idaho was before i got there, but if she was going, so was i. thank goodness for that!
fast forward... through college... past her marriage... somehow we both ended up in salt lake. you know when you're little and you say "when we grow up, let's be best friends forever and live next door to each other..." ? that's what we did. we lived across the street from each other for three years {until she out grew her home and moved north}.
my point is... holly is my best friend. we spent the weekend reading "notes" we passed in high school, back when things were simple {as evidenced by my "happy september 15th" note in the photo below} and life was fun. she makes cute babies who grow up to be well behaved children {it may be because she is the most disciplined pregnant woman i know}. she has excellent taste in home decor. and she still has amazing hair.
we were funny. i promise. and cute. and crafty. and clever. and nice. and fun.
