today was a rough day for me.
kind of wonk and all flustery and fidgety, which in my world only means only one thing. and only bestie jen knows what to do: offer me the floor of her living room for the fetal position while feeding me toast and apple juice.
so when i got home from work, while i had 16 other, more important things to do, i marched upstairs and got started on a really big project:
organizing the creative room.
organizing is a perfect project for days like this because it never ends.
painting my nails gives me something to do for 20 minutes.
watching the bachelor: 2 hours.
cleaning closets, organizing yarn, stringing string, uncovering envelopes from stashes of 83 previous showers i've thrown, juggling styrofoam balls of all sizes, and sifting through bins and bins {and bins} of spools of ribbon: 5 hours and there's still more to do.
and then the time it takes to take really crappy photos with my phone...
{p.s. today, i choose the iphone.}
before, before, half way before.
paints + string, the devil's gift bag filler, white things.
pens + pencils, garland yet to be strung, string.
ribbon scraps, hand dyed baker's twine, yarn.
see, crappy photos, right?
someday soon there will be a sewing machine on the table.
{mom, where is that sewing machine? help.}
and a chair. i need a chair.
the bulletin board will soon be filled with clever ideas and sweet things.
but the floor is 100% clean {trust me on this}
and the closet is almost there. all that remains is wrapping paper and scrapbook paper.
so thank you wonk day.
i accomplished so much because of you.
p.s. how many days can go by before it's too late to blog about the golden globes? can i push it out another day? i even took notes...
