who what where when why wednesday.

q:

what were you doing in 2003?

a:

living the sweet life in rexburg, idaho.

2003:  the last year overalls were socially acceptable among the non-farming type of idaho.
can it be 2003 again?

working at law firm.
learning to drive in the snow for the first time.
faithfully writing letters to a missionary.
beginning my upper level communications courses.
doing this awesome thing we called saturday extravaganza... field trips to visit the national parks in our backyards that people travel from all over the world to see... as well as local spectacles like the t.v. and pioneer museum in rigby. every saturday, no exceptions.
partying late on thursday nights because thursday was the new friday.
eating millhollow + drinking a forty {as in 44 oz. of diet coke, duh} from horkley's every night... with airpopped popcorn with the couch turned around toward the fish bowl window in the living room.
learning that summer time thunder + lightening storms are normal in the intermountain west. not normal in san diego.
stealing an hour between summer semester classes to float in rigby lake.
lara, cami, and i stayed up late one night to watch 'titanic' and then decided it should be watched no more than once every five years.
seeing robin away to get married.
and i think that was the summer i gained a crush on a boy named joe who was so dreamy in a baseball hat playing intramural softball.  where is joe now? hmmm...

good, wholesome mormon twenty-something things with my good, wholesome twenty-something friends.
seriously, can it be 2003 again?

you guys, just wait until you see bestie jen's answer. we laaaaaughed at our differing paths.  some go straight, some take the switchbacks. straight always seemed easiest for me, but if we all went straight, we'd all have the same stories and that would be borrrring.
