i don't know why i remember this day so well.....
maybe because I REMEMBER EVERYTHING.
it was the wednesday before jen and ed's wedding.
we had 3256 tasks crossed off the list, but 36786584 more to go.
but that day, we were on cupcake duty.
operation: 350 cupcakes baked, frosted, sprinkled, and stored
and it all needed to be done without leaving the eggs out too long.
we started the morning early:
at orson gygi for pink cake boxes and a platter for the cake.
xpedx for labels and string for the candy buffet.
catherine was sad because of a boy.

as a result, she wouldn't eat her chicken nuggets. jen and i ate them for her.
the lady at wendy's didn't give us straws. we had to drink 32 oz. straight from the cardboard cup.
i had anxiety over my non-responsive {boyfriend?} after sending him a picture of all 350 cupcakes. only to learn he could not receive pix messages. really, though - he probably didn't care about a picture of 350 cupcakes. note to self...
jen learned to swirl frosting onto a cupcake from a piping bag for the first time.
the whereabouts of the bridesmaids dresses were still unknown.

at 5 p.m., i met riva for a quick dress fitting before she delivered them all as a final product.
it was the snowiest night of the year.
it was the snowiest night of the year.
riva was dying from secret morning sickness.
she eventually broke down and told me she was pregnant.
at 9 p.m., there were 5 bridesmaids at my house awaiting her arrival.
and then the poor pregnant woman slipped on the ice and cried.
but by 10 p.m., all was calm, all was bright

but by 10 p.m., all was calm, all was bright
{by bright, i mean RED, YELLOW, TEAL, ORANGE and BLUE!}
and that day, on top of all the others that had come before it, i was reminded how much i really want a secret wedding.
