a sunday drive.

'tis the season for sunday drives up the canyon to see the leaves change to fall colors.
i'm putting up a good fight to keep summer around forever, but i wore long sleeves the other day and i kind of liked it. shhh.  don't tell.

so, in lieu of the regular ol' sunday walk, we drove to up big cottonwood canyon to silver fork and guardsman's pass.

holy smokes. fall is upon us.

have you ever seen a blue-er sky? it was perfect.

we saw leaves turn from green to yellow, yellow to orange, and orange to red.
it's a crazy, mixed up world.

old men fished in their camo hats, puffy vests and black socks.
it was like 14 below up there... my flip flopped feet and bare sleeves did me no good.

and everything about it was charming.

and sometimes i like to throw y'al off by taking a crooked picture.

families picnicked everywhere.
mormon families praying for their meal left and right.

and what would a sunday drive be without a drive off into the sunset?
in a vw bug, no less.

there's more of this leave changing business to come.
must return.
