i must.

each year, i manage to watch all of the oscar contender movies before the awards show. besides being totally incredible films {and perfect depressing, most of them} i'm realllly good at predicting the winning films. it's a little more than sparkles and mermaid cuts for me when the academy awards roll around.

it's hard work, i tell you.

two years ago, bestie jen and i managed to watch them all in and around wedding plans.

and last year, i barely skated by, no thanks to that crazy play she decided to do.

this year: a hungry infant baby. a little less pliable of a schedule that even a wedding and 6 days-a-week of the nicest kids in town.

so, i think i'm going to have to resort to solo movie dates. the good thing is - most of them play at the broadway theater. the broadway is full of independent spirits {some of them drunk and homeless, but independent nonetheless} who appreciate film for film - or a warm place to sit for a few hours. 

i'll put a hoodie on, slouch down in my seat, drink something from a paper bag and blend right in.
