i ran one fifth of a marathon on saturday.
one fifth the pain, they say.
i was scared a little bit.
but i made an extra long play list {just in case}, shaved my legs, got an extra good night's sleep, and said a prayer.
and i did it!
mile one was a breeze, mile two had a heck of a hill, mile three was mundane, mile four was my favorite, mile 5 was theworst.
shhh, don't tell... but i never actually got to five miles in my training.
training was a little rough, between that month when i felt like my stomach was in knots and a killer sore throat all of last week.
but i did it. and now it's over.
i had to BEG for a group photo. at 645 am... no one was very cooperative.
so when the first one was a little blurry, everyone groaned and i knew it was a losing battle.
clearly, the engineers don't have much regard for this whole blogging thang.
so, a fuzzy photo's what we've got.
leah + glenn are a father/daughter duo. glenn is the office manager {the boss' boss}
then greg + connor. a father/son combo. also known as the family that's not my family but treats me like family.
andy. boss.
lawrence. geologist + health and safety guru.
steve. environmental engineer, hydrogeologist and the smartest man i know.
sooz. environmental engineer.
cara. environmental engineer. we get our nails done at the same place and she just gave birth like a month ago.
it was fun.
i did it.
and now it's over.
exactly how i suspected it would go.
up next: the california ragnar.
