the shellac's been gone for a week now, but i thought i'd better give it a full report once and for all.
i took a picture of the status of the polish every day it was on.
i was amazed every single day by its high gloss + wear and tear.
i would have kept the lipstick red on forever, except i was itching to trim my nails. any more than a week's worth of growth {from the girl who powers her pre-natal vits to keep her hair and nails healthy} drives me mad.
really, truly, if there was a way to trim the nail, fill the growth, and keep on keeping on, i would have done it. but two weeks is tooooooo long for me!
day one through day twelve
left to right, top to bottom
removing it wasn't as hard as i thought it would be, either.
i soaked a cotton ball in acetone remover, placed it on top of my nail bed and held on tight for a minute or so. the polish started to lift around the edges, and the rest came off really easy with a little scrape, scrape {that's a gross word}.
my nails were so happy to breath. so so happy to be trimmed... and so happy to see another flavor of polish!
$35 well spent for a day with a friend.... but i'm kicking it with my ever-growing bucket of polish in between the special occassions!
