coupla things.

1.  the tomato soup cupcakes were not so well received on the blog.  people, c'mon.  to all the doubters out there - i would not, could not like cupcakes that really tasted like tomatoes.  have a little faith in me.  {hint: spice cake.}

2.  lots of questions about the canvas wall art.  i'm kicking myself for failing to document the process in photos.  next time i make one {hint: santa aubry is going to get crafty this christmas} i'll photograph it.  but, in short, buy a canvas {use that 40% off coupon}, paint it if you want, buy acrylic paint, buy your standard "garage sale" stencils at michaels or hobby lobby - two or three sets to speed up the process, and a stencil brush.  be careful - but not too careful - to place your letters, tape them in place... and go to town.  or, wait for me to start an etsy store and buy them from me at an inflated price of 300% my cost.

3.  i'm scrapping my original plan for bestie jen's baby shower. a new vision is forming and i like what i'm seeing.  invitations have been sent to the printer {i designed them myself!... on the computer! that's a first for me...}, decoration and embellishments begin tonight, and we're on our happy little party planning way.

4.  in case anyone's counting, today marks 2 months until my birthday.

5.  and 2 weeks until i go to florida. 

6.  this weekend brings some hard core d.i.y.-ness in the garage.  power tools + all.  heavy lifting, a sander, and maybe some paint stripper. a caulking gun, and a spray booth. so ambitious, this little weekend of mine, is turning out to be.
