i'm going to pretend like i'm not ashamed that the things that speak deeply to me are not pieces of fine literature, or quotes from world leaders + scholars.... rather it's dr. suess.
horton hatches the egg speaks to me.
my mom insists horton is scripture + those who understand the gravity of this rhyme are truly the wise ones.
and
i
agree.
i've used it in sunday school lessons.
my mom speaks of horton from the pulpit at church.
and now his wisdom hangs on my walls for everyone to see.
it's not even subtle... 4 feet tall + fluorescent pink paint.
the shoe polish art proved to be a lot harder than i thought it would be - unless you have a monster canvas - so i went the route of stencils + free hand.
it's an easy enough project, i'm tempted to slap all my favorite lines throughout my house.
i have an extra special idea for my bedroom... something more personal and meaningful for my own private living space. stay tuned.
this, though, is a conversation starter and i love it.
