Dearest Friends,
Who wants to have a lunch & shopping day with me..?? We can pretend that we're the gals from Sex and the City, only we won't be shopping at Neiman Marcus while sipping on champagne. We'll be digging through the sales rack at Forever 21 praying to find something in a regular girls size large. There's a catch though. I want to buy twins outfits and wear them out together. hahahaaa. Is that too strange? I personally think it sounds like fun; like something odd and different to do. Maybe I love this cause I was forced as a kid to dress the same as my "no we're not twins" sister. We didn't mind though. I really don't think we knew better or cared. It's funny cause my mom would always put us in the same outfits although I usually got the pink version while Al got the blue, and people would always ask us if we were twins. That's when you'd embarrassingly admit that you weren't and automatically felt like some imposter.
I think it's been subconsciously engrained in my brain, and maybe that's why it was my idea to dress as the twins from the movie The Shining a couple halloween's ago. I tried convincing Al to be my twin as I thought it would be funny to be dressed the same again but she had other costume plans. I did get my girlfriend Lucy to do it, which worked out great cause we're the same height and all. And that costume idea is so awesome anyways. It was fun having someone look exactly like you. I right away felt that I couldn't leave her side; that I would be incomplete.
I love it cause it looks so perfectly creepy....
Or it could look quite cute. Actually, I've been noticing this 'trend' in Tokyo -- seems like a regular look. Wouldn't it be fun to dress the same just for the hell of it..?? Go out for lunch and shop together in little twinsie outfits....
As long as we don't end up looking like this:
