the cupcake tour.

co-worker amalia and i had to run a few errands today for some clients. it wasn't quite lunch time, but well past breakfast... and since i was out the door at 6:30 this morning for a dentist appointment, i didn't get any breakfast in me. i had {serious} hungry face.

not sure what sparked it, but we took ourselves on a cupcake tour through the valley. this isn't the first time we've done it... and definitely not the last. but it absolutely confirmed to me that so cupcake is the best cupcake joint in the slc.

top - to - bottom, left - to - right:

key lime - raspberry lemon - another key lime {our fav}

vanilla {other fav} - coconut choc - red velvet with cream cheese

lemon - red velvet with buttercream - mud pie

chocolate chocolate - carrot cake - vanilla with chocolate

we tried diva's cupcakes and coffee too. not so good. the frosting tastes like creamed butter and sugar - ya know... like when you're making cookies... not good.

a couple weeks ago i hit up mini's again. still sticking to my first impression - breakfast at tiffany's is it's only worthwhile cupcake. amazing buttercream... but nothing too stellar. bizarre location, so much potential... but they just need a little aubry magic.

oh... and if you google map "cupcakes near salt lake city", it'll offer you an address for ABCupcakes. DON'T go there. we tried. and this is what we found:
