peas in a pod.

i spent most of the weekend with the hartwell girls. taryn flew in friday... and we had the entire afternoon to spend waaay too much money on makeup, eat frozen yogurt, and talk, talk talk.

on saturday, we rendezvous'd with bristyl for a little dream session at a bridal shop. {how great would it be to have an extra $7k laying around for a designer gown?}

while bristyl got her fix of byu sports and boyfriend {neither of which taryn and i were AT ALL interested in}, we shopped. believe it or not, those crafty peeps in utah county put together some great shops and i was determined to put a dent in it.

we hit a boutique on university. nothing too extraordinary {'cept my favorite expensive soap for $5, as opposed to $20 everywhere else... }. in a total moment of truth, taryn and i stared at this book leaning on a shelf... but we said nothing. we stared...

and then she said, "i love that we don't need to say anything... we just know what each other are thinking..."

i said, "that's what you get when i've known you your whole life."

she says, "you're thinking - no doubt, there was a photo shoot for this book cover... a photographer came... maybe some outfit changes... lots of test shots... and THIS is the one they chose in the end?! this was the best one?!"

and yes, that's EXACTLY what i was thinking.

we're kindred spirits, that taryn and i. she's firecracker of sass... which makes for a good time, all the time. come back, taryn... come back!
