a few years ago {circa hurricane katrina}, i spent a week in north carolina with andi and spencer. part work {getting paid to craft and create an anthropologie? yes, please.}, part play. because of the hurricane, president bush told us all to stay put, which kind of {really} ruined our plans.
so, what's a girl to do?
shop.
we shopped at the best mall... it had every store. stores i didn't even know were stores. like, remember that obnoxious catalog you used to get in college - dELiA*s - they had that store.
so, even though we cursed that catalog, we went in.

so, even though we cursed that catalog, we went in.
we both walked out with matchy matchy rolling stones tees {a wardrobe staple, even if you buy it at a teen bop chain store}.
like a day later, spencer says to us... "you know, when someone asks you what your favorite rolling stones song is, you're going to have to give them an answer...." and then he fed us a really good answer:
"you can't always get what you want"

and so, that's what we told people. and so far, that's still the truth.
thank you, spencer. i owe a sliver of my musical diversity to you.
