a bride to be.

hi, i'm cindy. the one to the left of miss aubry.

i met aubry my freshman year of college when she was my sister's roommate. just a few years later i was lucky enough to have her as my own roommate for almost 3 years!
this is one of my all time favorite shanty pictures. please notice the matching pajama pants and peeling wall paper. ugh. that could be a whole blog post in and of itself.

well, i'm a lucky, lucky girl because in 7 weeks i'm marrying, as aubry would say, 'the nicest boy in boise'. and it's true, i think he really IS the nicest boy in boise . . . and the most handsome, funniest, most selfless . . . and i could go on and on but for the sake of those of you who hate the gushy stuff i will stop there. (i'm engaged . . . i'm allowed to be a little that way aren't i?) instead, i'll just let you see his cuteness for yourself . . .

(he's not groping me, by the way. that's my hand)

so i hope it's ok with you all . . . i'm going to talk wedding. i decided since a lot of you that read this blog are COMING (yay!) to my wedding, i'd give you a sneak peek at some of the projects i've been working on for the wedding.

first, most of you know i have a serious obsession with paper. paper of all kinds! and fun projects with paper are among my very favorites. so here is project #1. i have it on my dresser in my room as a daily reminder of the lovely day coming up .

(w stands for worwood . . . my soon to be last name)

and these too will be covered in that same lovely paper as seen above and hung on a wall . . .

and these are one of the most fun, but most time consuming projects. flowers made out of tissue paper. these were the test flowers, so they are made out of three different kinds of paper. we are going to make all white flowers, three different sizes and hang one of each size above each table. so fun! i'm really hoping it will transform the room.

and i love these too! treat platters made out of crystal candle sticks and various white plates from the d.i. and marshalls/ross . . .

these are among some of my favorite d.i. finds. dishes for candy and milk glass vases to put flowers in for centerpieces on all the tables. i have managed to round up 30 milk glass vases for the tables! call me old fashioned, but i LOVE milk glass.

and this project i am really excited about. it's simple, but i'm totally excited. if you are interested in seeing the finished product, all you have to do is send me a wedding present and you'll be sure to see it ;)

and here is a sneak peek at one of the details of my wedding announcements. god bless you, paper source . . .

planning a wedding is fun, fun, fun and i highly recommend it to everyone :)

i can't wait to see you all in march!
xoxo

(p.s. sorry this is a day late. i tried posting this again and again last night, but our internet wasn't working properly. boo.)
