i saw "up in the air" this weekend {another oscar movie down, two more to go}. kelli was right - depressing. good. but, depressing. in an unrequited love kind of way. oh, and in the decline-of-american-workforce kind of way, too.

but, being the crafty girl i am, i loved this exchange:

girl: i googled you.
boy: you did?
girl: that's what us modern girls do when we have a crush.

so true, right? the dynamic of boy-girl has changed here in the latter half of the 2000 decade. so many chances to spy. so many chances to know more. so many places to put your best foot forward... your best representation of yourself. so many ways to communicate {none of which require talking} so many ways to send the wrong non-verbal cues.

what's the fun in that?
