a conversation.

ab: i heard so-and-so ran into you at work the other day. how ironic.

kt: yeah, it was so funny to see her in my world. wasn't expecting that. especially since she was in from out of town.

ab: no kidding. i wouldn't know how to find you in your world if i tried.

kt: haha. try checking in at your local high school. that's about the age of all my friends.

ab: awesome. you hang out with high schooler's and i hang out with 40 year olds. between the two of us, we average out at a cool 28 years old.

and then it dawned on me...

never has so little said so much.

this is exactly how it was supposed to shake out in the end.
