nearly famous.

seems like long ago, by now, but, but, BIG but...

jen and ed's carnival wedding has been featured on utah bride blog!
woop-woop-woopity-woop, right?

check it out for all the best photos.
i narrowed it down to mostly just candy and treats - my specialty.
{made of honor commentary required right here}

1. jen and aubry fake pose.
as IF we'd really look gleefully into each other's eyes and hug. our friendship doesn't really work that way. but it's the only moment we shared the whole day through.

2. the barn.
this is my favorite picture of the whole bunch. wait. i haven't gotten to the candy yet...
the barn, the balloons, the used car lot penant flags, and the sign compliments of tom atkins the great.
while i didn't have the luxury of being a "guest" at this wedding... receiving the invitation in the mail {and all the intrigue that went along with it}, pulling into the parking lot to be greeted by balloons and carnival fun, etc... i am CERTAIN this was the appropriate welcoming for the treat the guests were about to walk into.

3. i think i'll call this "eyelashes and blackberry".
you'd think i'd be able to carry on through the most important day of my bestie's life without my phone. but, no. in fact, i can't think of a single person who would need to get a hold of me that night, since everyone who's anyone was there.

4. shoes.
jen and i scoured every ross dress for less and t.j. maxx and nordstrom and illegal christian louboutin chinese distributor for red, orange yellow, teal and navy shoes... for this very photograph. thank heavens it was properly documented in style.

5. the wedding cake.
i made this cake at midnight on wedding eve. red velvet with cream cheese frosting.
it went from my kitchen to my lap in the car to that table back to my lap in the car back to my kitchen nearly untouched. just two finger licks of frosting missing by the night's end.

6. 342 cupcakes.
strategically placed on the table surrounding the wedding cake.
vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
eight hours of baking on wedding day eve eve.
polka dot cupcake cups for the white ones.
striped cupcake cups for the teal ones.
twelve inch piping bags for all.
and a lifetime of red jimmies.

7. the candy.
thank heavens for smith and edwards.
"we have everything you want... if we can find it."
including $400 in the sweet stuff. no chocolate. but anything with color.
we all had a few visions. jen's got claim to the wax bottles.
the jawbreakers were one of mine.

these. the sour belts. these were my vision. all swirled in that jar like that.
tons of work. no one had faith in me.
but i worked it out in the end.

amazing, right?
that's right.
