who what where when why wednesday.

q:
what are your "fifteen minutes of fame"?

a:

a no-name documentary on the all-american family.

the summer between my junior and senior year of high school, a camera crew and television host showed up at my front door and began filming a documentary on my family. you know, the all-american. stay at home mom, hard working dad, brother, brother, sister, brother, brother.

it aired on channel 76 in san diego... and was seen by everyone but our family. still, to this day, we hear "saw your show the other day on the byu channel..." from the peeps at church, but it's all a mystery to us.

we went about our daily business... which happened to be my senior portrait day. we went to the mall, shopped for something pretty to wear, yada yada, then onto the photo studio. my photographer refused to be on camera, since "last time i was on film, it didn't go so well..." {turns out, "last time" was jerry springer... when his girlfriend told him she was cheating on him. for real.}

i can't google it... i don't even know what to google. can't remember the name of the show, the host... nothin'.

so, if you happen to be watching the byu channel, or whatever the channel 76 equivalent is, DVR it!

props to lara for this great question.

OH, OH, OH... there was also this time... before i lived in salt lake... when i happened to be strolling through the gateway downtown on a little visit when a fox 13 reporter shoved a mic in my face and asked me who i thought was going to win american idol. i said kelly, naturally, cuz she's the bomb.

i got phone calls from my grandma in cedar city, friends in logan, cousins in provo, etc... they all saw it.
