this summer i was fortunate to get to share in the special day of one of my dearest (most dear??) friends.  sarah and mat were married in thunder bay, ontario on aug. 4th and it was a wonderful day!  i want to hare some of their stunning photos with you.  their photographer's were AMAZING....see for yourself! 

looking at these pictures brings tears to my eyes!  thank you sarah and mat, for sharing your day with me.  and thank you sarah for being such an inspiring person.  when i read the description of you on your photographers blog, i laughed, because i can imagine it.  so clearly.  she is right in everything she said.

since i can't have cow with me here in kuwait, smokey is going to take his place...but just for now.  she's a very good girl!  she loves to play with her toy and eat canned kitty food.

a belated celebration...

march 15 was my 1 year blogiversary!!!  time flies doesn't it?!

so i was thinking about my blogiversary as it approached and noticed that i had posted 281 times in year one...so, i decided that i would try for at least one post a day (or 365 posts total) for year two....i started late so i have some catching up to do but i think i can do it!  thank you for being my faithful readers.  thank you for caring and coming back again and again!

i had this thing on my blog before that i could look at and see where in the world people were who were looking at my blog. does that sentence make sense?? i hope so.

anyway, this thing tells me where people signed on from and what their entry and exit links are....
so, using my detective skills, i have decided that i am PRETTY SURE that PIONEER WOMAN was reading MY blog!

the location was right. and the person linked on from her site which i had recently left a comment on....anyway, i was SO excited to think that a celebrity like HER might be reading MY blog!! AH!

i am not sure what i am looking for, but i keep going into my blog to "check" it...
will some one have magically posted something?? will i have written a post that i'd forgotten about?? will entering the blog inspire me to write?? i guess technically it has cause here i am...
still having a case of "writers block" it seems. i don't like it.
i want to keep up with this as a sort of journal for myself. and i want to keep up with it for my readers. i know how anxious i get when the blogs i read are on dry spells...

writers block!?

it seems that after our two week holiday, i am having my first real case of writers block! what to write about?! i can't think of anything witty or amusing for my readers! what will i do?!

all i can think of is how hot i was today! and how tired i am because i was so hot all day...oh ya, my camera too. i love my camera and i need to spend a lot of time learning how to use it....hopefully this weekend.

anyway, cross your fingers for some inspiration or excitement in my life! sorry friends!
