there is a facebook group dedicated to my friend ann since she went missing in july. yesterday, after we heard that her body had been found and foul play was suspected, someone posted the following. i think his words honest and powerful:

First and above all, my condolences and thoughts are with the family in this terrible time for them. A part of me is not the same today and and whomever is responsible needs to know this. The media will make you out to be a monster and without a doubt, you are. The police will make you out to be a psychopath and that is what you have become as well. To me, above all, you are a COWARD. You were not the strong who has preyed on the weak, you are the weak who has preyed on the strong. Ann-Marie represented what was good and decent in this world. She was someone people wrapped their hearts around, their love around and their loyalty around because she gave all that back. You have made the world seem like an ugly place today and for many days to come and even though you have ended her physical life here, you did not end who she was. She will live on in greatness as you fade to everyone's wayside. Rest in peace.

now we know that her boyfriend was arrested...and these words keep haunting me. monster. psychopath. COWARD. my heart is hurting for this family...
