Today I am dreaming about my very own home.

I am living at home with my parents at the moment, so all my furniture is in storage and I can't wait to move into my own home soon. I will be able to fill my home with all my treasures I have bought from the auction, especially the most recent addition to my collection. A retro record player cabinet, see how cute it is below (sorry its a bad quality image from the auction). 

I am just loving visiting the auctions and second hand furniture shops at the moment because you really can find such interesting furniture with character and uniqueness.

Today I am dreaming about the bush.

Visiting and being in the bush is an amazingly therapeutic experience and (with much excitement) I will be going to visit the bush this coming long weekend. 4 nights and 3 days in the beautiful Zululand bush surrounded by endless wildlife. 

A whole bunch of friends are going and we are staying on a game farm called Sungulwane Bush Camp which is situated between Hluhluwe-Umfolozi and Mkuze Game Reserves. How incredibly exciting... Here are some of my previous bush photos for inspiration:

Today I am dreaming about being a Rockstar....

If I could be a rock star or a famous singer, I would want to be a mixture of Hayley Williams from Paramore and Pink. I love both of their voices and definitely their vibes - Pink is my favourite when it comes to her personality and her awesome music videos. But I do love the way Paramore is a hardcore rocker chick. Therefore, I'd be a little rocky with a bit of a pop vibe.

Today I am dreaming of colours, the many beautiful and bright colours that surround us everyday as life passes us by. Sunlight brings all colours alive, illuminated in front of our eyes. I don't know what life would be without your sight but make the most of it by admiring the colours around you.

Today I am dreaming of owning my own little shop full of beautiful things.
A shop full of furniture with character, antique furniture and second hand furniture in all shapes and sizes. A shop full of colourful clothing, accessories and handbags. A shop with a coffee shop. A shop with beautiful photography for sale and a gallery space to display up and coming local artists and illustrators. A happy, buzzing and vibey shop.

Oh, today I dream of my dream shop.....

I have subscribed to the Lomography website and I receive their newsletters regularly. The newsletters always look so good, with awesome designs and great photographs to lure you in and get everyone excited about their new products or specials etc etc etc. In the latest newsletter they are advertising these new awesome cameras called the Horizon Perfekt and the Horizon Kompakt:

Aren't these photographs just too awesome? Yes, they are! What a nice little camera to add to my collection? I think I'll add that to my dream list...

my.very.own.craft.room.

Today I am dreaming about having my own home with my very own "Craft Room" otherwise known as a creatives' study or a play room for adults or a workspace where crafty things are made. I want to collect all my odds and ends, bits and pieces, tits and tats and keep them all together (in an orderly mess of boxes and storage compartments) in my craft room.
Things I want in my craft room:
My MacBook Pro, an awesome L shaped desk, a comfy rolling chair, big windows with a beautiful view (hopefully of the Natal Midlands, South Africa), colourfully painted walls, a few pin boards, a sewing machine (not that I know how to sew, but I will learn!), and a book shelf full of lovely inspiring books.

AND all colours and sizes and types of .... buttons, ribbons, papers, pens, khoki's, paints, paint brushes, scissors, glues, pencils, crayons, markers, colours, beads, wool, materials, canvases, glitter, precious stones, and so much more!

Today I dream of getting a parcel full of cameras.

All sorts of cameras and camera accessories; polaroid cameras, underwater cameras, lomography cameras, film cameras, digital cameras, fish eye lenses, wide angle lenses, filters, flashes, colour film, black and white film, infa red film and the list goes on...

Today I dream that photography becomes my living inspiration becomes my life.
Today I dream of opening my own photo gallery and coffee shop all in one, where I will display my photography in a arty little space with vintage finishings and antique furniture.
