Wednesday Web Adventures: Gaga cookies & Inflated lips

Let the internet surfing adventures begin!! This is a random list of crap I've been looking up lately. Let's start with an interesting vacation (??) idea... I think it would be fun to choose very random places to go visit and experience for your holidays. Although these type of vacations might end up costing more in the end. I think that's why a lot of people end up doing the same type of trips. For me those would be trips like Mexico and Vegas. You can always find a good deal when booking for either destination. Plus, for me, when I think of holidays I usually picture hot weather and palm trees. So, what if you went in the complete opposite direction, and stayed in an Ice Hotel instead. Ice Hotels are exactly just that. They're hotels that are made of ice and snow, and require thermal long johns and sleeping bags if you decide to stay the night. But in a strange way it kind of sounds like a fun adventure. And yes, I am one of those annoying people that actually like winter and lot's of snow, which we get plenty of here in Canada.

The Icehotel is situated in the old village Jukkasjärvi, Sweden, along the shores of the Torne River, and was the world's first ice hotel.
Brrrrrrrrrrr!!

Or I can just stay in Canada and check out the Hôtel de Glace (that's 'Ice Hotel' in french, oui?) in Québec.

I'm sure my friends are starting to think that I'm nuts for wanting to spend my next holidays at a ice hotel. I don't know if it's going to happen any time soon. Let's just say that it's not cheap to stay at one of these. Oh well, maybe one day...

Next on the list is Kristina Rei, a 22-year old nail technician from St. Petersburg, Russia, who has spent more than $6,000 on 100 silicone injections to her lips. I just read about her in the local newspaper, although they didn't have any photos -- so of-course I had to google her. This is Kristina, in her natural beauty:

Apparently she felt that her 'thin' lips were unattractive. Her goal: To look like cartoon character Jessica Rabbit.

Here she is half way to her goal, although she now confesses that she became addicted to plastic surgery. I think she should have left it at this.

And now to THIS:

Yikes. This is where plastic surgery doesn't work. But I guess her, now, big lips have landed her in the Guiness Book of World Records, and Kristina says her lips have made her very happy and that she plans to have more plastic surgery procedures done in the future. Whatever rocks your boat.  :)

Some images that I find beautiful:

The movie Young Adult, starring Charlize Theron, opens up to theatres right away here. I laugh at this promo shot cause this looks like something I would wear, hahaa...

As usual I like to look up one of my favourite things on the web, and that's street fashion -- usually from the streets of Japan. Here are my latest fav's:

This one is not necessarily something I would wear. I'm 100% sure I would never buy those pants (unless for a costume party), but think the way this cute girl put it all together is just adorable.  :)

I saw this photo of Lady Gaga shopping in New York wearing a custom made Chanel creation, which I instantly fell in looooooove with...

Looking further into this photo, I found out that the star was at her grand opening event -- a holiday 'Lady Gaga Workshop' project for Barneys New York, featuring exclusive special edition items which will be available for a limited time only. Barneys has converted an entire floor in their flagship store in NYC for Gaga's Workshop. Some of the items for sale include stocking stuffers like a Bow-shaped Lollipop; Gaga magnetic dress up set; Gaga press-on nails; 'Diamond' tea cup; and frosted cookies.

Toys, Cosmetics, Apparel, Accessories and Treats. Best thing is that 25% of all sales go to Gaga's Born This Way foundation, helping empower youth and addressing issues such as equality, self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring, career development, and to help create positive change.

You can view the entire collection here:
