I love following old traditions, and building new ones now with Jarred. Every year we buy one (or two) new Christmas ornaments to put on the tree. I love this, as when I sit back and look at our cute tree with it's mish mash of ornaments it's just so 'us' and with it carries warm memories. Even though I enjoy the artsy fashionable xmas trees in their themes and matching colors, my favourite will still always be the mismatched hodge podge trees with character, like my parents tree which I call the 'ghetto tree' with it's broken ornaments and layers of thick tinsel. Even the favourite part of the tree at my work is the old angel that sits on top. She's probably from the 1970s, and looks it too. She's definitely the best part of the tree.
So this year we got two new ornaments. Just as last year, we went for some Disney:
Christmas Parties
- Christmas parties with my friends -- especially our Annual Girls Chinese Gift Exchange Xmas Party. This is probably my favourite holiday event, and I always look forward to it every year.
Watching Xmas Movies
- I loooooooove love love watching xmas movies. My must-see favourites are National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Home Alone and Elf. But I'll watch (and love) them all. I'm actually watching The Santa Clause right now as I'm writing this blog. :)
- This Poinsettia Tree
- tokidoki new plush toys
- my new Hello Kitty nail stickers
- This H&M Holiday 2011 ad campaign featuring mother and daughter, Jerry Hall and Georgia May Jagger.
- The fact that just this past weekend we earned the last bit of Air Mile points needed to purchase our two admission tickets to Disney World. :)
- This was, and still is, my ultimate favourite xmas card. Ever. I bought these cards years ago, but loved them so much that I saved a card or two from the pack. I think it's obvious that I am a BIG Survivor fan. This card is so awesome!!
- my new Elf slippers
- Cozy days like these...
- And new family members, xoxoxoxo...
Happy Holidays!!
