q:
have you ever seen a sweeter face?
a:
no!
this isn't my story to tell... i'll leave the deets up to the baby mama... but it's been anticipated long enough here in practically perfect land that it deserves to be shouted from the top of the world...
bestie jen had a baby today!
eek. exclamation point. kissy face. squeeze!

it didn't go down the way we thought it would, even our post doctor's appointment phone call at 10 a.m. this morning led us to believe she wasn't coming any earlier than monday... but she's here and she's sweet and bright eyed and alert and perfectly emergency-c-section-esque round. she's not squishy or swollen or cone headed one bit!
she's the prettiest baby and i love her to death.
oh, and her name is navy. like the color. or the branch of the military. fitting for a pearl harbor day baby... but that's purely coincidence.
i feel like jen's gestation period is longer than that of an elephant. i'm so glad she's done with this pregnancy business... but tonight, i'm also thinking back to this day, brimming with all the love i've got over this 6 lb little chunk of love.
p.s. i didn't cry. not even close. i thought i might. but i didn't.
