Costume Idea: Tron Legacy

Ahhhhhahahaa, I love it that I'm already doing another 'Costume Idea' post. I didn't plan it that way. I accidently bumped into this idea yesterday afternoon. I was actually on YouTube looking up the Tron: Legacy soundtrack, to listen to while at work. I'm a nerd that way. I've always loooooved listening to movie soundtrack scores, ever since I was able to go out and buy my own music. I remember listening to the Edward Scissorhands and Batman cassette tapes (yes, I'm old) -- which the music score on both of those are by Danny Elfman, and a composer I have always been a big fan of. You can right away hear his distinct style and spot it out. I still enjoy listening to movie scores. My most recent purchases have been Rise of the Planet of the Apes, 300, and Skeleton Key, just to name a few. I'm now thinking of adding the Tron soundtrack to the collection, which is entirely done by Daft Punk, and most excellent. It's amazing how a good score can really enhance the movie.

I've already seen Tron: Legacy a few times. We did get to experience it on the big screen -- one time where the 3D effect was appropriate. I've never seen the original 1982 movie Tron, also with Jeff Bridges, so Jarred, having seen it as a kid, bought the dvd and we got to watch it before seeing the sequel. I didn't really like it much, hahaa. Although it is quite dated. But the sequel, now that's an entirely different story. I loved it, and it just gets better the more times I've seen it. I guess it also helps that I have a small crush on lead actor Garrett Hedlund...

Mmmmm, heeelloooo...

and a small crush on Jeff "The Dude" Bridges. hahaaa...

Beau Garrett as Gem...

And can I just say, WOW, on the makeover here. Actress Beau Garrett is already a very attractive woman, but I'm amazed at her transformation as Gem -- it almost doesn't even look like the same person..!!

And as my crush list continues for a million years here, last but not least is actress Olivia Wilde who played Quorra. I didn't really like Olivia -- until I saw this movie. It's funny how that happens. I used to be the same with actress Jennifer Garner, until I saw her in the movie 13 Going on 30. After that she could do no wrong, haha.

So anyways, I was thinking how these all would be awesome costumes. The girl characters are to me the proper ways to do a 'sexy costume'. I find a lot of the 'sexy' costumes out there are just excuses for girls to be slutty, and are beginning to look so unoriginal and boring -- at least to me they are. If I had a hot banging body I would rather flaunt it in a kick ass costume like the Tron babes. I think these look waaaaaay more sexy -- and such cool costumes to top it off. However, you'd have to really do the research and make the effort to put the costume together properly. Remember, it's all about the small details..!!

And here are the perfect examples...

Love it.

Tron: Legacy - 'Sirens Dress Sam' clip

Tron: Legacy - 'End of Line Club Battle scene'. My favourite part is when Flynn (Jeff Bridges) shows up. It's sooooo cool. I love the change in the music at that scene. It seriously pumps the cockles of my geeky heart.  :)

xoxoxo...
