this past weekend consisted of a lot of socializing, a lot of beverage consumption, and not a lot of homework. but it was a good weekend! a great weekend in fact! the funny story transpired sunday afternoon. it went something like this:
jeremy and i had decided to catch up on our tv watching and as we watched the big bang theory, we had a glass of wine. then we had another glass of wine and before we knew it, the wine was all gone. so, we decided that we would try out the rum punch that a friend had made for us. jeremy says it was delicious, i say it tasted a bit like poison.
anyway, after the punch, jeremy decided (in his infinite wisdom) that it would be hilarious to text everyone jsut saying something random and see what kind of response we would get. so he sent, "emily and i are getting crazy tonight. you in?" to everyone (keeping in mind that it is sunday afternoon). we thought it was funny and didn't really expect much response. boy, were we wrong!
EVEYONE responded and before we knew it, there was going to be a party at "kelly's house" that night, even though kelly was in cambodia. we then thought it would awesome if kelly were to arrive home late that night to a party in full swing! nice!
anyway, at 6:48 pm (cause that's when we told everyone to be there - random, i know), we were having a party. nothing out of control. just some beer, pizza, talking, laughing, and wii. anyway, good fun for a sunday night. i think it's getting pretty obvious that it's "that time of year"!
p.s. just to make things interesting, i also had a little texting excitment when sending out the party invite. i had also sent the message saying, "jeremy and i are getting crazy tonight. you in?" and then i get this message back, "hi emily. sounds fun but this is N's dad. maybe you want ot get crazy with someone else?" OH YES! i sent the text to one of the fathers of my student's from last year!!! in my defense, his name is common and there is a teacher at the school with the same name....
so i text back, "wow that's awesome and embarrasing! sorry!" oh dear....
