the magic rat

this morning after swimming one of my kids came RUNNING up to me...

J:  ms. emily, ms. emily *with eyes WIDE* this morning as i was waiting for the bus, a rat came out on the street and then this motorbike came by and BOOM! it hit the rat!

MS. E: ew!  that's sick!

J:  but the rat didn't die!  and then, another motorbike came by and BOOM!  it hit the rat!  and the rat STILL didn't die!  

MS. E:  *laughing* well maybe it was a magic rat?!  and that's still gross!
