necessary luxuries.

a college professor - probably my mass media teacher - used the quote once:

"there there little luxury, don't you cry. you will be a necessity by and by."

and so describes my feelings for j.crew.

i was shopping with brooke the other day... combing through the aisles near the front of the store when i came across the pretty button downs... you know, the haberdashery line {like this one} they carry... when i exclaimed "these are to die for... my all time fav... seriously, i wrote myself a note the other day to blog about these."

then, not kidding, a minute later, i arrived at the accessories table.... you know, the one that sells all the tortoise shell hair clips and headbands... when i spied a bucket of stila lip glaze.  wwwha?  "my aunt just slipped one of these in my purse the other day when i was down for christmas and restocked my supply.  it's the perfect gloss.  it never lets me down.  i was going to blog about this, too!"

and then i spied this gloss from bobbi brown... my other fav.  my default gloss, if we're going to get specific.

... which was sitting next to this polish.  the polish i ALWAYS use.... except when glitter polish calls, of course.

j.crew just gets it.  they get me.  and all my favorite beauty secrets. it's a one stop shop, really.
