remember when i posted this idea for the living room?... and then never really did anything about it?

until yesterday! on my brooke e/utah county day.

we scoured consignment shops and thrift stores to find the last few, most perfect frames to deconstruct and pretty up for the wall.

the ledge came compliments of ikea.

without a minute to waste, i popped out of bed this morning to clean frames, break glass, sand and paint.

i pulled out the power drill and level to hang the ledge.

i'm just going to say - it's a two man job... hanging that ledge... but that wasn't an option. i'm becoming pretttttty adaptive.... realizing this two man stuff might just stay a one man operation for a while.

it's what we call working with what we've got.... and i'm what i've got.

i digress.

when it was all done, i sent that lame camera phone picture to my people.

jen replies "that is good. all you need is a new tv"

jenna says "love it. like, loooooooove it. you need a plasma tv to match your vibe"

great minds, eh?

my reply to the both of them: "i wish i cared about that."

and it's true. i wish i cared but i don't. i'd rather spend my money at anthropologie.

but, actually - the next couple hundred dollars i collect to splurge on will be a houndstooth area rug for the living room. let's see how many different kinds of madness i can drum up in that room.

p.s. my blogging has been so boring lately.... a concept that is not lost on me. for this, i apologize. it's just... i haven't had any time to write about life because i've been too busy living it. not a bad way to be.

if i had more time to blog, though, i'd write about the aha! moment i had today in gchat, the shopping expedition of 2010, the other aha! moment i had in church today, how i can't go anywhere without 17 things in my hands, stila lip glaze, personal anecdotes about jason mraz and tristan prettyman... given their recent engagement, and combining the best of both worlds - a man who loves me and can score me an anthropologie discount. is such a thing possible?!

we'll just have to wait and see...
