remember last week when i blogged about my neeeeeed for a christmas branch?
what are the chances i found this branch in the gutter of my office building's driveway on that very day?
such luck!
the holiday crafting gods were smiling upon me that day.
so i enlisted co-worker beth {remember, i needed a person in order to pull this off.} to help me drag it in.
we nearly fell over with laughter as we yoinked this TREE out of the snow pile and lugged it down the street.
i hope i'm the prettiest lumber jack the motorists of murray have ever seen.
i parked it in the office basement until someone - a man, preferably - found a saw and trimmed it down. it didn't look so big driving through the parking lot... but it was like three times the size of my car. uhhh....
we trimmed the tip top piece of one branch off the top and - seriously - it was still the length of my car.
seats down, trunk open... it barely fit.
... and i drove like that. laughing all the way.
it barely fit in the door... nearly reached the ceiling...
and there it stayed through the weekend.
until today! i got my paul bunyan on and went to town trimming the branches and shaving the leaves.
i even toughed out a little indoor spray painting session for an added touch of gold glitter branches.
if i'm going to do this... i'm going to do it right.
ten simple ornaments later.
it's the christmas branch of my dreams!
i love it.
it's exactly what i wanted.
christmas branch site tours available immediately.
