dubai.airport.experience.

My dubai airport experience. I love airports, especially the main hub airports because there is such a wide variety of people, cultures and nationalities, all ages, shapes and sizes. Its actually rather fasinating watching people milling around and doing there own thing! Take me for example, I had about 4 and a half hours to kill before my flight to Durban. I wanted to purchase Mac studio fix powder and a good coffee, that's about all. The first thing a did was go straight to the Mac shop, bought my makeup and then...to kill time I browsed all the duty free shops from one end to the other end and then back again to my boarding gate - in between I bought a Hello magazine and a large caffe latte and sat in the cute coffee shop and read my mag.
I did all that with an extra hour and a half to spare!! What to do now? I sat in a random chair and started compiling this blog post, while photographing people sleeping - very entertaining.
I do have a book to read, a Wilbur Smith called The Angels Weep, but I'm not really in the reading mood. I'm feeling rather creative and I wish I had my MacBook Pro with me right now, or at least an iPod. But don't fear when you have your BlackBerry with Microsoft Word!! I ALWAYS have a pen and paper on me, everywhere I go, and for some unknown reason I don't have a pen on me today so I'm tempted to go buy a notepad and pen, but it is a bit of a waste because I have a million different notepads and pens at home! So I'm typing instead...
My tummy started growling and I knew it was breakfast time, so I went to Costi and ordered an omelette and bacon bagel, it was delicious and did the trick.
Time is slowly passing, but I'm going to make my way to gate 211 where I will be boarding soon... Happy flying!
Oh this is so exciting, I'm boarding soon soon and I can't wait because before I know it I'll be landing in Durban and seeing my mom. Yipee yay! Here are some random pictures from the airport:
