it used to be that:
1. i never cried
2. i didn't make friends with girls.
but something's changed, because:
1. i discovered i'm capable of real, human emotion
and
2. i am making friends all over the place.
case in point: jenna rammell.
it all started last march when i asked her to create me a new blog header.
we emailed.
drafts and drafts, edits and edits, emails and emails.
laughing all the way.
and then a pretty product.
i think that's where most people's relationship with their blog header designer ends...
but not us. we kept up.
for months, these two thumbnails were email friends,
talking about important things like dr. drew's hot factor, glee and mormons who dress like skanks.
and then we became facebook friends - a natural progression, i think.
status update comments, discovering of a mutual connection to the teton valley, and swaping recipes.
maybe 7 months into this, she emailed, asking me if i wanted to help her paint her walls... to which i in turn confessed one of my deepest twisty secrets... and then we reached the point of no return. we had to be friends in real life by then. had to.
we scheduled a play date. she threatened to move to florida. we cancelled. we planned again. our schedules never worked. yada yada yada.
until THIS WEEKEND when i drove through the winter snowstorm from hell to utah county where we met for dinner. laughed. talked. talked. talked. draink diet coke. talked. talked. talked. laughed. and before i knew it, we were revealing mortgage rates and scheming on my behalf to find my eternal love of my life. until 2 a.m.
moral of the story: online relationships are legit.
right, jenna? right?!
