the power of a hammock

do not underestimate the power of a hammock.  or the power of one who uses the hammock!
in vietnam, resting, sleeping, stretching out or swinging in a hammock is a very popular past-time.  in fact, there are hammocks pretty much everywhere.  along the side of the road, along the side of the highway, and at rest-stops and coffee shops too.  because, as i can imagine, when traveling via motor bike, one needs to stretch out every now and again.

anyway, the point of the story is this.  remember that time that i blogged about all the things that i see on the way to school?  well, i forgot to mention one of my favourite things....HAMMOCK boy! every day he is in the same spot, selling gas or lottery tickets and swinging away in his hammock.  over and over.  back and forth.  day in and day out.  and every day, kelly and i talk about how we love to see hammock boy on our way to school.  he just looks so happy in his hammock, swinging the morning away without a care in the world.  SO CUTE!

well....that brings us the problem...and the power of the hammock.  since the day that i wrote that blog, hammock boy has been MIA!  no where to be seen!!  we were so afraid that maybe he had moved on to another hammock or god forbid, something had happened to him.  BUT don't fret!  today he is BACK!!!!  swinging away....without a care in the world.  AND, today he had a friend! :)
