yesterday after school we had a staff meeting and as we sat, we watched the clouds roll in. and not just ANY clouds. we are talking huge, dark, low, fast-moving clouds. a storm was rolling - or running - in. which is fine of course, if you are getting into a nice cozy taxi. the problem here is that we ride a motor bike to and from school. so picture this:
we ran down to the bike. put on our beautiful rain ponchos (mine is purple, kelly's is white). of course, the ponchos have to go OVER the backpacks so that they don't get wet so we have a purple hunchback and a white hunchback. with the hoods up and helmets OVER hoods. this is key so that water does not drip down your back. then i decided that i didn't want my birks to get wet so off they came and into the backpack. so now we have a purple hunchback with no shoes and a white hunchback with his backpack on his front so that we fit on the bike together. so i guess that makes him a beer belly instead. then i put on my sunglasses to keep the water out of my eyes and kelly puts down his eye shield. and we're OFF! in the rain. i'm sure we were quite a sight!
turns out it didn't even rain that much. not what i was expecting from those clouds. oh and good news! today after school, on the way home...it started to rain again! guess where the ponchos are....
hanging up to dry from yesterday....they didn't keep us very dry today!!!
