penguins and sea lions and pelicans OH MY!

yup.  that's right.  all animals we saw today on day 3 in perth.  we had a great day on peguin island.  the penguins are SO cute!!!!!  and the sea lions smell.  and the pelicans are HUGE!  the biggest kind of pelicans actually.  their wingspan is more than 2 meters!

then we took the ferry back to town, got a bus to the train station, took a train into the city and then went SHOPPING!  we went to TARGET!!  it was SO exciting!  no one telling me that i am too big to shop there.  and no bargaining needed!  we also did a big grocery shop which was great and bought stuff for a picnic in kings park.  so great.  except for the 6 billion stairs that you "have to" walk up to get to the park.  turns out there was a road...that a cab could have driven us on...instead of the stairs...anyway, it was so peaceful (except all the flies and the scary birds) and we had a chance to practice our photography.  lots of fun.

anywho, as you can tell, everything here in perth is great.  i can't believe our trip is already half over :(

N.B. cindy and i have decided that we no longer care to relocate to perth as there are too many flies and scary birds.  oh and the national past-time seems to be excercise....so we just don't seem to fit in....
