what is your default outfit?
a:
you know, the outfit you wear when you don't want to think about what to wear... or, say, on saturday mornings before you "get ready" for the day.
mine includes:
a band tee.
this sweatshirt
my american eagle {yeah, i just admitted that} boyfriend jeans - i have multiple pair of these.
flip flops.
pearl earrings.
oh - and probably a hat.
hats are MOST DEF made for saturdays... or days that don't start with a shower.
my bag.
marked down from $430 to $218...
and, while i was away from my desk this morning, the rest of the marc jacobs-loving women with excellent taste bought them all up. ALL SOLD OUT!
i die.

speaking of equations...
makes me want to reply with "it's a person... talk to it. it's not that hard!"
here's an equation.
go figure... it's suddenly all about kate. with just a dose of the occassional jon... lucky guy.
they've officially been booted from the dvr queue. i can't imagine there's anyone left on this planet that is still entertained by this hot mess {in all her bad hair and head-to-toe anne taylor glory}.
mine, all mine.
...sadly, it didn't fit a very important area on her bod...
and nice friend couldn't stomach the idea of denying the dress of a good home {my bod} so she gave it to meeeeeeee!
{i told her she could tell me how pretty i am anytime she sees me in it. it's the least i can do.}
More Eckel photos
We got home super late last night, so we're just about falling asleep at work today.
Phew.
Ok, so i thought i should post some more Eckel pictures here, since he'll be joining us real soon, and i often refer people to this blog for pictures and info about him.
So here, some random Eckel goodness for you on this cold, Copenhagen monday.
Oh, and remember that he'll be at the shop this friday, the 2nd of October* , to talk to anyone interested in getting tattooed, so drop by after 1pm and have a talk with him!
* It's October this week? Fuck!

boise, in a day.
who:
what:
where:
when:
why:
and, of course, no andi-aubry trip would be complete without a taste of the local cupcake-ry. sadly, there was lots of room for improvement.
previous adventures seen here and here.
we spied a local paper with mr. a-z's face on the cover. slightly embarassed, we made a few attempts at a self portrait of the four of us. didn't work so well...
thankfully {but still slightly embarassed}, strangers offered to take our picture.
here's the difference between red rocks and the idaho center:
1. red rocks: pre-sale ticket day - we get seats in row 41.
{pin-head size jason}
2. idaho center: three days before the show, row 16.
{close encounter jason}
thankfully... ideally... perfectly... the boise show was ENTIRELY different than the denver show. i mean, if i'm going to see him twice in a week... traveling 300 miles in both directions... the least he can do is give me two different mind-blowing shows. thanks, j-dawg sassy slacks.
and, the best part of the night came when he thanked "the beautiful people of utah" for coming to the show.
how'd he know? he must read my blog...
two places at once.
-----------------
what she didn't know, was -
she was secretly at the jason mraz concert, too. an amazing feat.
in case you don't remember, robin, here's how the night went down:
it started here... on the frederiksen's front porch.
you sat in the front. cup holder.
i think you ordered a sweet pork enchilada. hot sauce. black beans. no pico.
yumm, right?
you sat on the shanty blanket. kept it warm.
would you believe me if i told you we bought you your very own seat?
we enjoyed the opening act. g. love was a little skeezy, though. skinny slimy.
i held your head-on-a-paint-stick in my hands {almost} the entire time. i held on tight... especially during all of our favorite songs.
Fresh Tattoo Art - Locating Galleries With Good, New Tattoos
When you start looking for things on the internet, what do you use? 95% of men and women will say "search engines". Yes, it's true that they are the one tool that everybody uses to find hat they want. It's just that these are the very tools which are leading all of us to so many low end galleries that don't have fresh tattoo art. All you get now is this gigantic, random list of low end websites and they are all stuffed full of generic, cookie cutter designs. To top it off, a majority of their inventory is over eleven years old!
That's as far away from fresh tattoo art as you can get. The sad part is that many people think this is all there is to choose from and end up settling on one of those generic designs. Instead of searching on to find the fresh tattoo art, they simply settle on something they don't even 100% like. I don't know about you, but I don't think any sane person should "settle" on tattoos. Your skin is too precious and it is a design that will be inked somewhere on your body for a very long time.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's concentrate on a subject that is a bit more upbeat. You want to find fresh tattoo art, so what can you use to get to the galleries that have it? Well, the easiest and best way to accomplish this would be to dive into the larger internet forums. I know, it doesn't sound like much of a plan, but it is. You see ,the large forums of the web are absolutely perfect for getting a good peek at where folks all over the world are uncovering fresh tattoo art.
You can find so many quality tattoos and galleries this way, because you will find that people pots link after link to the wonder places they have somehow found. Fresh tattoo art is out there for the taking and forums have your path right to many of them. It's a small detour and it's a detour that can lead you to the right place.
When you are looking for fresh tattoo art, please don't make a rushed decision and settle on something that you are not 100% sure about.

can you tell how great this really is?
even better?
they didn't have my size at the anthro here in slc... but i found it on sale in denver {among many other great things}... resulting in the "aubry does anthro" lalapolooza shopping spree.
{robin - think "wahoo weekend 2001" - yeah, it was that good.}
oy.
someone please tell me...

what is your biggest pet peeve?
a:
i have a few. not a lot. i can get along pretty well. but i have a few:
sometimes...
a spontaneous genius. so much so that i'm helpless against acting upon my genius-hood. what a waste of genius-ness it would be not to do something about it.
upon return, cindy {miss boise} posted a comment on my blog post about missing his upcoming concert in boise this weekend. at the same time, andi {miss denver} posed a question on her blog - "where should we see him next?"
then it struck me. we're going to boise.
and so began our email conversation:
aub: hey, andi - i downloaded that great k'naan ringtone. i love it.
and: perfect! i just bliggity blogged about our weekend. i want to go again.
aub: what if we roadtrip to boise to surprise cindy with a jason mraz lalapolooza weekend... wouldn't that be a dream?
and: that would be dreamy... hmmm
aub: just checked availability. still some rockin' good seats.
and: checking on flights.
aub: this could be amazing.
and: this could be really great.
aub: i know, right? i'm a freaking genius!
and: den - slc, arriving at 1 pm friday. slc - den, departing 7 pm sunday. it's on.
and just like that, great fun was born.
p.s. already scoped the cupcake shops in boise. the picking is slim, but i will find a great cuppycake.
